We are located in Connecticut, north of New Haven, roughly in between New York City and Boston. We would happy to meet you for scheduled visits! In fact, we encourage it!
Our philosophy is to breed a healthy all around English-style Labrador- a dog that is beautiful, able to retrieve and above all loyal to his family. We strive to make ethical choices, so therefor we believe in health testing of our breeding stock and their breeding partners and we screen our puppy buyers carefully to make sure our babies go to loving and safe homes.
Females can range from 70-80 pounds. Males can range from 85-100 pounds. What is typical of the dogs we breed have larger heads, stout and muscular bodies, correct coat and fabulous temperament. We strive to meet the AKC breed standard.
Labrador companion puppies are able to go home at 8+ weeks of age on an AKC limited registration (no breeding rights) and contracts that require you to spay or neuter later than 18 months of life. A recent study by UC Davis states that early neutering and spaying contributes to hip dysplasia.
On choosing a puppy: We take notes on every puppy from whelp until the time to go home, including temperament testing. Because of this, we are well equipped to match puppy to the needs of you and your family. We will take into consideration your preferences, but please don't worry about having to pick the right puppy.
